                       He was born in a rich family . He lost his mother and father at his early age. He had one sister . His relatives brought him up and his sister. In his young age he used to go to temples daily . But he had interest in sex. He is sexually attracted by the beautiful women he see. He go to many ladies to satisfy his lust. He gave more money to the girls to whom he went. Gradually he lost all his money and started lying his sister to get money. His sister thought of to end this behavior of her brother so she decided to get him married. At last he got married. But he continued to go to girls and neglected his wife. His wife got frustrated and promised to God that she won't have sex with her husband hitherto. After sometime they became poor and lived in a very small place. Because of his behavior arunagirinathar got leprosy. But still he got that lust towards women. But every women rejected him because of his leprosy. One day he touched his wife but his his wife did not sleep with him because of the promise she made to God. He wanted women badly so he planned to go out and told this to his sister. His sister got exhausted and said that there is nothing she got to bring a women to him she got only her soul. And she said if she was not his sister she could have slept with him. On hearing this statement he got sense and decided not to touch any girls and went to a murugan temple and prayed god to kill him because of his behavior. And he went to top of the gopuram and he jumped from there . But a saint got him in his hand and saved him . Then the saint advised him to keep quiet . So he started to do thavam and he remained silent. Becoming happy because of his thavam lord murugan appeared before him and gave boon and made him as a poet. He started singing thirupughazh.
